Ive been a long time AIM user (over 10 years). This app is good for a number of reasons. Of course you get full AIM functionality which I still think is one of the better chat protocols still in existence. The real value in this app for most people is that the ability to access your Facebook and Twitter accounts simultaneously is great. The real icing on the cake is that this app actually works far better than the actual official Facebook app. It actually works without constantly crashing. Its still not as good as the Lifestream app (which is no longer available) but is far superior than the garbage that Facebook puts out.
Update 12/15/16: Its been awhile since the last update and I hope that Verizon is still giving the AIM team some resources. AIM is a powerful messenger, lets hope its not allowed to wither away.
Update 04/28/17: Glad to see AIM getting a update. It may be old school, but gets the job done.
